The grounds are certainly a place you will want to spend time in during your visit and encompass a 60’ bedded garden, a 30’ lawn with benches dotted around offering good views and peaceful moments. No worries about parking as there is ample space off road in front of the cottage.
Temple Guiting
The 12th Century residence of the Knights Templar is an historic village where most houses and cottages are built with traditional honey-coloured Cotswold stone. The young River Windrush meanders south through a delightful deep wooded valley.
There are many footpaths and bridleways, for a quiet stroll or a more adventurous walk, you can even join the Cotswold Way (two miles away).
The village stores provides for everyday needs with a post office facility two days a week. Two inns offering homemade food from local produce are within one mile.
There is a golf link within 6 miles, horse riding 5 miles away and a leisure centre with pool and gym is 8 miles.
An ideal base for a holiday, Temple Guiting is centrally situated within a 7 mile radius to other well-known places of interest which include Bourton-on-the-Water, Broadway, Chipping Campden, The Slaughters, Stow-on-the-Wold and Winchcombe. A half hour drive will take you to Cheltenham, Stratford-upon-Avon or Tewkesbury.
Nearest railway stations are Moreton-in-Marsh 20 minutes and Cheltenham 30 minutes. At the top of the Furrow garden guests can catch a coach daily to Cheltenham or once a week to Moreton Market, Stow-on-the-Wold and Winchcombe.
